Career Myth: Wait for a lucky break

Common Myth About planning your career and life: “Wait for a lucky break”

If you wait for a “lucky” break, you will be waiting for a long time, possibly forever. There is no such thing as a lucky break. Those overnight successes did not happen overnight.

Those individuals were showing up for their dreams despite all odds.

“Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and never last forever.”
Roy T. Bennett

Staying persistence will help you get “there” wherever “there” is, however it may feel. You will never know if you do not stay persistent. This does not mean, keep doing something you absolutely hate. And it definitely does not mean keep doing something if you have no end goal in mind.

What this means, is that if you really want something, you will have to build it. You will have to build yourself up and keep going till you get “it.” It will happen, you just need to keep going!

“It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down. All that matters is you get up one more time than you were knocked down.”
Roy T. Bennett

So, rally your supporters when you are feeling down. Do something to pump you up! To keep yourself going! You can do this. And if you stay the course, you will reap the rewards.
