In Bryan Oliver’s Book Habits: Create What You Need to Succeed in Life he discusses 10 habits that you can develop to succeed in life.
Here’s my daily discussion on each of the ten habits. Habit number four he states “Understand personality styles” this is by far one of my favorites. And if you know me personally, you know I am the personality test queen. Who doesn’t love learning about themselves!?
Long gone are the days of “my way or the highway” and if you are still thinking that people need to bend to your will you are probably finding yourself more and more alone. The truth of the matter is that we are social by nature. Even introverts, who like to rechard in quiet spaces, still yearn to be with others.
What can you do to understand others? Take personality test of course! Share it with your team if you are a leader or ask your supervisor if you can all take one together. In just reading the differences, we can all begin to understand each other better. You may find that those you have a harder time to be around are more like you than not.
